The plant technology
The milling technology employs whole tires in their original round form, namely there is no need for preliminary shredding of tires. Tire processing technology of our plant can be seen here.
The technology starts with washing of tires, cleaned tires are then sent to tread-milling, sidewall-milling and tread-ring internal milling machines. A feature of the process that there is no abrasive in the water, as the milling is performed just by the concentrated energy of water jet. Upon separation of water from milling slurry, the final drying of product is completed. The separated technological water is recycled and re-used for milling after proper filtration. Final steps of the technology are fractionizing in sieves and packaging the product of different fraction sizes.

„Due to the support of the Norwegian Grants, AquaJet Ltd. has finalized their plant developments. By launching a new production line and renewing the existing ones, the plant is now capable of producing up to 770 tons of waterjet-milled rubber powder.

The project was implemented within the framework of the Norwegian Green Industry Innovation Program, the Fund received HUF 412 million in non-refundable aid to the company. The total cost of development amounted to HUF 750 million.

Through Norway Grants and EEA Grants, Norway’s purpose is to reduce social and economic disparities and strengthening of bilateral relations with the recipient countries in Europe. Norway’s contribution in the period 2009-2015 amounted to EUR 1.7 billion. The main areas of support include environmental protection and climate change, research and scholarships, civil society, health, equal opportunities for children and gender, justice and the protection of cultural heritage.”
